What data the analytics collect
- the pages you opened and the time spent on them;
- the referral source: search, a link from another site, direct entry;
- device type, browser, screen resolution;
- approximate region by IP address - without precise location.
Who processes it
One service - Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited. It counts page visits and shows which searches and links bring people here and which texts they read to the end. These aggregate figures serve one purpose: to see which explanations the site is missing and to write them.
Google Analytics receives anonymised data about the visit and processes it on its own servers under its own rules - see the Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from partner sites. We see aggregate reports only and have no access to any individual visitor's data.
How to withdraw consent
Consent to analytics is given through the banner on your first visit and is stored in your browser.
You can withdraw it at any time: the "Cookie settings" link is in the footer on every page. Once withdrawn, the analytics stop running.
You can also delete cookies through your browser or use the site in private browsing mode - in that case consent is not kept between visits.
Refusing analytics has no effect on the site: all pages remain fully available.
